Ankita Lokhande, lit a candle in memory of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a picture of the lit candle in front of idols of Jesus and Lord Ganesha.
Now in her caption, Ankita wrote, “HOPE, PRAYERS AND STRENGTH!!! Keep smiling wherever you are.” From the post, she seems to have to lent her support to the #Candle4SSR online campaign. The campaign was started by lawyer Ishkaran Singh Bhandari.
Appointed by politician Subramanian Swamy, Ishkaran has been pushing for a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) inquiry into the death of Sushant. On Tuesday, he tweeted, “It was decided by today during my Youtube Live that Tomorrow all those who want Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput will do peaceful protest & light candle at 8 pm. #Candle4SSR – this hashtag (people decided) for tomorrow.”
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 and is still missed by friends, family and fans ever . Since the actor’s tragic demise, his fans, and everyone close to him is heartbroken and continues to pray for him.
Ankita has not yet issued any official statement . On the one-month anniversary of his death, earlier this month, she lost a picture from her prayer room and wrote, “Child of God.”
Importantly, Sushant and Ankita first met on the sets of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ in 2009. The TV show made both of them overnight stars. The actor had left ‘Pavitra Rishta’ a couple of years later to make a career in Bollywood, but they remained in a relationship until 2016.
