Aryan Khan: They are Bollywood’s favourite couple. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan follow different religions but their relationship has only grown stronger by the day. They have been together since the days when name and fame were a far fetched dream. The couple, who tied the knot in 1991, has set an example for others with their love, respect and understanding for each other.
The couple is parents to three kids – Aryan, Suhana and Abram. And today when SRK is has his comeback after four year with a smashing hit Pathaan, people wonder what religion his children follow. SRK and Gauri have often discussed the issue openly in the past.

When Gauri was asked the question
Aryan Khan, eldest of the lot, will soon join the film industry as a writer and has been quite active in the glam world’s social circle. His mother was once asked about her children’s religion during a TV show. She said, “It’s me who takes charge, be it Diwali or Holi or any festival. So that’s why influence of my kids would be a lot with the Hindu part of the … but the thing is that, Aryan is so into Shah Rukh that he would follow his religion, I feel. He would always say ‘I am a Muslim’. When he tells this to my mother, she gets, ‘what do you mean?’.”
‘I would never convert’
Speaking about her thoughts on converting, Gauri Khan had said, “There is a balance, I respect Shah Rukh’s religion but that doesn’t mean that I would convert and become a Muslim. I don’t believe in that. I think everybody is an individual and follow their religion. But, obviously there should be no disrespect. Like Shah Rukh would not disrespect my religion as well.”
According to some media reports, SRK’s daughter Suhana was once filling a form in school. She had to mention her religion in the form. She innocently asked her dad what is religion. And like a true India, SRK replied, We are Indians and we don’t have a religion.”
