Avatar: The Way Of Water: James Cameron is back again with sequel of Avatar and his directorial Avatar: The Way Of Water is less than a week away from its theatrical release and tickets are selling like hot cakes at the box office. This is one of the most-awaited films of 2022 and advance bookings are evident that James Cameron’s movie has put different level excitement into people as 2 lakh tickets are booked for the opening day with an all India gross of Rs 7 crore. The 6 days of advance booking is yet to book and the movie is eyeing to get one of biggest advances of all time, challenging Avangers: End Game, KGF 2 and Bahubali 2. 2 lakh tickets have been sold so far and only three chains – PVR, Cinepolus and Inox have clocked approximately 1.20 lakh.
Avatar: The Way Of Water made 16 crore
With Brahmastra, KGF 2, and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness shortly entering the race, Avatar 2’s three-chain increase is already among the largest for a movie in 2022. Avatar: The Way of Water’s opening weekend ticket sales are currently at about 4.10 lakh, and they are on pace to reach the 5 lakh mark soon. Avatar: The Way of Water made over Rs 16 crore over the weekend. The movie has already sold more than 2.70 lakh of the 4.10 lakh tickets only through the three national chains.

For Avatar: The Way of Water in India, the pre-sales up until this point have set up a fantastic foundation. Now, it’s all about going big in the final six days of advance booking to put a start of Rs 50 crore firmly within its reach. Spiderman: No Way Home had over 5 lakh tickets sold in the three national chains, while Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness had approximately 3.80 lakh tickets sold on the first day. Avatar 2 will aim to outperform both of its predecessors, if not handily surpass them. Avatar’s final pre-sales might result in a weekend revenue of between Rs 45 and Rs 80 crore.
