Bharti Singh: In connection with their 2020 narcotics case, the Mumbai branch of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has submitted a 200-page chargesheet to the court against comedian and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya.
Bharti Singh and her husband were detained by the NCB in November 2020 on suspicion of possessing marijuana. A special (narcotics) court later granted them bail.
In 2020, the NCB conducted a raid on Bharti Singh’s home and manufacturing facility and recovered 86.5 grammes of marijuana.
“Both Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya admitted to the consumption of Ganja,” an NCB official had said.
Bharti and Haarsh Limbachiya are parents to six-month-old Lakshya. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained them in November 2020 after finding ganja (cannabis) in their suburban Andheri home. According to NCB, a raid resulted in the discovery of 86.5 grammes of cannabis inside their home. The search was carried out as part of the NCB’s investigation into alleged drug usage in the entertainment sector, an NCB official had stated, and “Both Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiya accepted consumption of Ganja,” according to NCB officials, as quoted by ANI.
The two were booked under sections 20(b)(ii)(A) (involves minor quantity of drugs) and were given bail by the magistrate court after two days on a bond of 15,000 each.
Bharti is presently the host of the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2022, and Haarsh has previously hosted a number of other reality shows.
