Bhediya Box Office Collection: Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya is finally in theatres. The actors have been heavily promoting their film for months now. The first reviews of the film are out and they are mostly positive. However, it remains uncertain if the film will howl at the box office. With Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 thriving at the ticket window, Varun Dhawan’s film will definitely see a competition. But positive word-of-mouth can work for the supernatural fantasy drama.
Bhediya Box Office Collection
Bhediya has been one of the most-anticipated films of the year. Made on an estimated budget of Rs 60 crore, it has garnered positive reviews from the critics. But, it remains to be seen if reviews would translate into revenue for the Varun Dhawan starrer. The film will clash with Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Drishyam 2 at the box office. Drishyam 2 has managed its pace even during the weak days, minting Rs 100 cr in just 7 days. The film has reportedly occupied around 2500-3000 screens in the domestic market. Advance bookings for the film has shown average report. As of Friday morning, Bhediya advance booking stands at Rs 1.8 crore gross and 1.5 crore nett for the opening day.
Advance Booking disappoint in major cities
Bhediya managed to sell 27,000 tickets in three multiplexes on Thursday. However, the trend isn’t upto the mark in the major cities. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2, which had comparatively less buzz on the internet, bagged the second best figures at the box office, owing to positive word of mouth and the already existing fan base.

Bhediya stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma. The horror comedy has been directed by Amar Kaushik of Stree fame and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film features Varun Dhawan as Bhaskar who finds himself transforming after bitten by a wolf in the forests of Arunachal. Deepak Dobriyal and Sharad Kelkar also play pivotal roles in the film.
