Popular folk singer Nisha Upadhyay has been admitted to Max Hospital in Patna after sustaining bullet injuries during a shocking incident of celebratory firing. The unfortunate incident occurred during a cultural programme in Bihar’s Saran district, where Nisha was performing live. Reports suggest that her left thigh has been injured.

The incident reportedly took place during Yagnopavit, a ceremonial event performed among the Brahmans, where they don the sacred thread. Prior to the firing, a video emerged online showing Nisha passionately playing the drums at the event. Despite the alarming incident, the singer’s condition is currently reported to be stable.
Speaking about the incident, a police officer stated to India Today, “We received information about the incident, but no written complaint has been filed yet. We are investigating how the gunshots were fired and who all were involved in the firing.” Authorities are diligently working on conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
