Bigg Boss 16: In a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, the head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, requested that MeToo-accused Bollywood filmmaker Sajid Khan be removed from the reality series Bigg Boss.
DCW director Swati Maliwal urged the Minister to take action and stated in a letter sent on Monday that someone like Sajid Khan should never be allowed to appear on television reality programs.
The #MeToo movement saw 10 women accuse Sajid Khan of sexual harassment, according to Swati Maliwal, who shared the letter on Twitter. All of these grievances expose Sajid’s repulsive worldview.
This guy has now been awarded a position on Bigg Boss, which is totally incorrect. I’ve emailed @ianuragthakur Ji a letter to ask him to get Sajid Khan off this show!

Swati’s Tweet:
Swati Maliwal’s statement about Sajid Khan
Swati stated, “As the allegations against him demonstrate, it appears that Sajid Khan has acted as a sexual predator for a long time”. She named the victims who accused Sajid Khan of sexual misbehavior at the workplace and elsewhere. It is obviously wrong for an alleged sexual offender like Sajid Khan to appear on a primetime program that is viewed by both adults and kids. According to reports, he would now have an unfair opportunity to “whitewash” his wrongdoings and relaunch himself with Indian viewers.

His presence in the programme sets the precedent that men with influence in the entertainment sector can simply commit abusive acts without being held accountable. Additionally, it denigrates and dismisses the women who spoke out against his impolite advances. They are emerging Hollywood stars who jeopardised their careers by coming forward to report abuse by a higher authority, the letter continues.
Sajid Khan, a Bollywood director who was disqualified from the industry after claims of sexual harassment were made against him, is making a comeback on the reality competition Bigg Boss. Outrage has been widespread since it was revealed that Sajid would be competing on Bigg Boss, especially on social media.
Among the women who came up about sexual harassment during the 2018 MeToo movement were Rachel White, Saloni Chopra, Sherlyn Chopra, Aahana Kumra, and Mandana Karimi. Sherlyn Chopra revealed upsetting details about the director Sajid Khan, like being made to touch his privates.
