The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has refrained from endorsing statements made by its Member of Parliament, Kangana Ranaut, concerning the protests by farmers. The party stated clearly that Kangana is not authorised to speak on behalf of the BJP on policy-related issues and that her remarks do not reflect the party’s stance.
BJP’s Official Statement on Kangana Ranaut’s Comments
In an official statement, the BJP highlighted its disagreement with Kangana Ranaut’s comments. The statement read, “The remarks made by BJP MP Ms. Kangana Ranaut concerning the farmers’ protest do not reflect the party’s official viewpoint. The Bharatiya Janata Party does not endorse her statements, and she has not been given permission to speak on party policies.”
The BJP made it clear that Ms. Ranaut is not authorised to speak for the party on policy matters. She has also been advised by the party to refrain from speaking out about these issues in public going forward.
BJP Reaffirms Its Core Principles
The BJP emphasised the values of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas” (Together with All, Development for All, Trust of All, Efforts by All) while reaffirming its dedication to inclusive development. The party emphasised that one of its main goals is to promote social harmony and togetherness among all societal segments.
