BLACKPINK Jennie: YG Entertainment opens a police inquiry, BIG HIT takes legal action over invasion of privacy, Details Here

BLACKPINK Jennie: In response to the fans’ requests, YG Entertainment has taken the necessary steps to safeguard BLACKPINK member Jennie, who is one of their artists. As a result of images of her personal affairs being circulated, the star’s privacy has been violated. A selfie of her and BTS member V that appeared to have been shot during a “date” recently went viral online, sparking more rumors and requests for an explanation from the agency and the K-pop star.

YG Entertainment clarified that they had really taken the necessary actions in a statement on October 3rd. They stated that the agency had reported the incident to the police, who had launched an investigation and planned to sue the perpetrators for the invasion of Jennie’s personal images. The person who posted the photographs online will be sought out by them. They stated that the agency had filed a complaint in September and had been actively monitoring the content being shared online.

To limit the harm caused by the scenario, they also stated that YG Entertainment had abstained from responding and expressing its position. However, they found it impossible to do so as their primary concerns—personal insults, sexual harassment, and invasions of privacy—took precedence.

To correct the issue, the agency will take legal action without mercy. Repeatedly spreading unverified content and making excessively hateful posts against their creator will result in charges of character defamation as well as a violation of the ban on illicit information distribution. In addition, it is against the law to share photographs that have been illegally revealed again.
