The police have arrested Kumar Hegde, the personal bodyguard of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. Hegde has been arrested from his village in Karnataka. Kumar Hegde has been accused by a woman of raping and cheating on the pretense of marriage. The woman has alleged that Kumar Hegde also took 50 thousand rupees from her, and he has not returned the money.
“A team of Mumbai Police has arrested Kumar Hegde from Hegdahalli in Mandya on Saturday,” police officials told news agency PTI.
Kumar Hegde was not in touch with the accusing woman after which he lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police.
According to reports, a 30-year-old beautician has accused bodyguard Kumar Hegde of raping her on the pretext of marriage. According to the FIR, the victim had met Kumar Hegde during a film shoot in June last year.
Police officials have told PTI, “A team of Mumbai Police has arrested Kumar Hegde from Hegdahalli in Mandya.”
The police is investigating further by registering a case under sections 376, 377, and 420, including the Indian Penal Law.
