Paralympics: Indian Para-athletes yesterday scripted history on the world stage of the Paris Paralympics 2024. Where Avani Lekhara won her consecutive Gold Medal Manish Narwal also returned with a silver. With this top-notch performance, India’s medals tally saw a remarkable shift with 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. To motivate the Para-athletes representing the nation on this big stage, Bollywood celebrities took a step forward and congratulated them. From Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonu Sood to Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonali Bendre, many celebrities congratulated the winners.
Bollywood Celebrities Celebrating the Paralympics Win
Bollywood Diva and renowned Indian actress Kareena Kapoor Khan immediately took to Instagram and posted a story for all four winners. She made a collage of the para-athletes and wrote ‘Huge Congratulations’ while tagging them. Apart from Bollywood’s Bebo, Ayushmann Khurrana also took a moment and appreciated the glorious efforts of the para-athletes. Dr. Preeti aka Sonali Bendre also posted two separate stories congratulating Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal in one and Manish Narwal, Preeti Pal in the other. She wrote, ‘Congratulations! Medals are home again’ and ‘So Proud.’ The actress’ happiness can be seen in her stories.
The famous B-town couple Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani also took to their social media handles and wrote words of appreciation for the medal winners. Rakul Preet in her custom-made collage congratulated Avani and Mona for the double podium finish in Paris 2024. She wrote, ‘Avani Lekhara‘s double gold victory and Mona Agarwal’s bronze at Paris 2024 are a testament of their hard work and dedication.’ ‘So Inspiring! Hats off to these champions’ she added. On the other hand, her husband Jackky Bhagnani also congratulated the air rifle shooters Avani Lekhara and Mona. He posted a story with the caption, ‘Your success is nothing short of extraordinary and incredibly inspiring. We’re all so proud of you!’
Bollywood’s pouring wishes did not end here. Jackie Shroff also congratulated four Paralympic Games medalists. The Tridev actor took to Instagram and wrote words of appreciation for Avani, he wrote, ‘Avani is the first Indian athlete (Male or Female) to win back-to-back individual gold medals at the Paralympics or Olympics.’ Jackie Shroff also posted a story for the first Indian Para athlete medalist in a Track event Preeti Pal. He posted a picture of Manish Narwal and congratulated him too. Devdas actor made his fans and followers aware of each event and para-athletes by posting about it.

India’s Performance at the Paralympics 2024
Indian contingent’s performance on the second day of the Paralympics 2024 impressed Indians and motivated them to watch the games. The medals tally initiated with Mona Agarwal’s Bronze followed by Avani Lekhara’s mesmerising Gold medal in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event. Right behind the shooters, Preeti Pal created history by becoming the first Indian Para-athlete to win a medal in Women’s 100m T3S. Leading the Medals tally to 4, Indian para-shooter and Tokyo 2020 Gold Medallist, Manish Narawal clinched the Silver medal. Overall, the performance was captivating and the hard work of the athletes is being paid off.
