Maula Jatt: Thank God and Ram Setu, this year’s Diwali releases, failed to make an impact at the Indian box office or on the global stage. The Legend of Maula Jatt, a Pakistani movie starring Fawad Khan, which was out two weeks ago, has overshadowed the movie.
Maula Jatt Box Office Collection
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, The Legend of Maula Jatt performed better at the box office in the UK than Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and Ajay Devgn’s Thank God combined. The Fawad Khan starrer made USD 46,825 (Rs. 38.40 lakhs) on 56 screens on its thirteenth day in the UK.
The Legend of Maula Jatt was similarly the preferred movie in North America. Evidently, they disapproved of the Ram Setu and Thank God Bollywood films. 90 screens there saw The Legend of Maula Jatt earn USD 56,586 (about Rs. 46.45 lakhs). Ram Setu brought in USD 48,330 (Rs. 39.67 lakhs) from 354 screens, while Thank God brought in USD 40,358 (Rs. 33.13 lakhs) from 228 screens.
About Maula Jatt

Speaking to Deadline, the director of The Legend of Maula Jatt, Bilal Lashari said he is ‘overwhelmed’ with the success of the movie, adding, “I’m beyond overwhelmed by the love the film has received from audiences and critics alike the world over. We are so proud that The Legend of Maula Jatt has been instrumental in putting Pakistan-made cinema on the global map as it continues to win over hearts in theaters across the world.”
Highest Grossing Pakistani Film
The Legend of Maula Jatt has achieved a historic milestone by surpassing PKR 100cr ($4.5M) globally and becoming the highest-grossing Pakistani movie ever in just its second week of release.
The Legend of Maula Jatt, a remake of the 1979 iconic Punjabi movie Maula Jat, has had an explosive start since its October 13 release and set a record for a Pakistani title’s global opening weekend.
