And it looks like that Gadar 2 will soon overpower all the records made by Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster ‘Pathaan’s’ record and become the highest gross film.
Gadar 2’s remarkable journey to ₹300 crore club
Anil Sharma’s “Gadar 2” has reached a significant milestone, entering the coveted ₹300 crore club in India. According to Sacnilk.com, the film’s second Friday saw a remarkable collection of nearly ₹20 crore at the domestic box office. Released on August 11, “Gadar 2” has been making waves since its debut.
The film garnered ₹19.50 crore nett on its eighth day, contributing to its overall earnings of ₹304.13 crore domestically. This success comes after a week where “Gadar 2” amassed ₹284.63 crore. The sequel to the iconic “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” is setting new records and reaffirming Sunny Deol’s charismatic presence.
Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’
Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Pathaan” had its triumphant run at the box office. Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, reports that on its 8th day the film has collected 17.50 cr and is contributing to an overall total of 336 cr for Hindi films alone.
The audiences were kept on their toes by this spy thriller directed by Siddharth Anand, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The total earnings for the film stand at a mind blowing 348.50 crores in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions.
