BTS Jin to Discharge on June 12, Look Back at his 1.5 Years in Military

BTS Jin: BTS member Jin is all set to make a return after completing his mandatory military service on June 12, his agency, Big Hit Music has officially issued a statement. In the post, they mentioned the upcoming military discharge of the Korean singer and the procedure for it. To prevent any damage from overcrowding they mentioned that ‘The discharge day is reserved for military personnel only’, fans are advised not to visit the site.

BTS Jin’s Military Enlistment

Kim Seokjin aka Jin’s enlistment journey in the Korean Military hasn’t been an easy task. The member faced a lot of criticism and questions regarding the whole matter. In South Korea, it is mandatory for a man aged between 18 to 28 to perform their compulsory services in the Army. BTS after contributing a large share to the economy of South Korea and being an exceptional and worldwide artist in the country was given a relaxation, they were allowed to join the military by the age of 30. Following the relaxation the oldest member joined the forces a bit later than usual. But a lot of people including K-pop fans, netizens and Korean citizens began criticising the Awake singer for his late enlistment.

From Trainee to Sergeant

BTS Jin got enlisted in the military on 13th December 2022. He joined the forces of South Korea as a Trainee and performed a five-week-long training service where he learned to handle guns and military instruments. After completing his training in January, BTS Jin took the oath at the military graduation ceremony. Following that BTS member, Jin took on the role of Assistant Drill Instructor and was responsible for disciplining the new recruits and demonstrating the training practices. K-pop idol kept on climbing the ladders of success in the military one after the other. He became the Special Class Warrior in July 2023 and then got promoted to the post of Corporal. In December 2023, the singer once again got promoted and this time to the role of Sergeant. Kim Seokjin’s military service has been extraordinary and now, it’s time for him to be back.

BTS’ Label is Ready

As Jin is coming back just a day before, BTS’ 11th Anniversary, BTS Label, Hybe and agency Big Hit Music are all set to welcome him with the biggest and warmest hug. The company has written ‘APOBANGPO’ on their building to celebrate the 11 years of togetherness with BTS. APOBANGPO is BTS and ARMY slang which means Army Forever and Bangtan Forever. Big Hit Music has also organised a ‘Hug Event’ for the ARMYs. The fans are preparing to meet Jin once again with great force.
