BTS member Jin, alias Kim Seokjin, was the first BTS member to serve in South Korea’s mandatory military duty. His first photo from the military facility has appeared online, and it appears to be from his identity card. Jin had already chosen a buzzcut before joining in the military. Jin was seen smiling subtly for the camera in the viral photo first uploaded by The Camp (a website for individuals to keep up with Koreans in the military). He is dressed in an army uniform, exuded confidence. His identifying card on his uniform, according to Twitter user @7btskook, read, “Written on the paper: the eleventh division, The second platoon, Team 5 46 – Kim Seokjin.”
Meanwhile, another photo of Kim Seokjin began to circulate on the internet. It’s from a leaked footage of the eldest BTS leader aggressively cleaning up chairs with his army buddies at a function. He had a black mask over his face.
Another picture of BTS member Jin is going viral
Many fans shared their sentiments over his first official glimpse in uniform shortly after the photographs and video were released. “Proud of Jin serving in Military this indicates that BTS team can do anything or any work proud of BTS team,” one fan said. “Jin looks great in his military outfit,” said another.
Many members of the BTS army, however, voiced their anger with the photographs being released. “Jin actually requested for privacy, yet you still believe it’s alright to consume military propaganda like it’s crack,” one of them tweeted. “Just a note that I will delete anybody posting or retweeting photographs of Jin in the military, if it isn’t directly from him, I don’t want to see it on my timeline,” someone else added.
Jin joined the army on December 13th
Jin enlisted in the army on December 13th. BTS members RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook accompanied him. Jin is presently serving as an active duty soldier at the Division Recruit Training Center, Yeoncheon army camp in northern Gyeonggi province.
