In his note, Suga wrote, “Hello, this is Suga. I come to you with a heavy heart, deeply apologetic for disappointing you all. After drinking at dinner last night, I decided to ride home on my electric kickboard. I violated traffic laws without realizing that using an electric kickboard while drunk was not allowed, thinking it was a short distance away.”

He continued, “While setting up my electric scooter at my front door, I fell. A police officer nearby conducted a breathalyzer test, leading to my license being revoked and a fine. Although no one was harmed, and no property was damaged, I bow my head in apology. This is entirely my responsibility, and I have no excuses.”

Suga concluded, “I apologize to everyone hurt by my careless actions. I will be more cautious in the future to avoid such incidents.”

BigHit Music’s Statement

BTS’s agency, BigHit Music, also issued a statement. It read, “Hello, this is BigHit Music. We apologize for the incident involving BTS member Suga’s electric scooter.”

The statement detailed, “On Tuesday night (June 6), Suga used an electric scooter while wearing a helmet, returning home after drinking alcohol. After traveling about 500 meters, he fell while parking. As a result of a breathalyzer test by nearby police officers, he was ticketed and his license was revoked. Thankfully, no personal injury or property damage occurred, and he was escorted home by the police.”

BigHit Music added, “We apologize for the disappointment caused by this inappropriate behavior. As a social service worker, he will receive suitable disciplinary action from his employer. We will ensure this does not happen again in the future. Thank you.”
