In 1984, Madhuri Dixit made her Hindi film debut in “Abodh.” He collaborated with A-list actors like Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, and Rajesh Khanna after this movie. Madhuri Dixit signed on for the 1986 movie “Manav Hatiya,” which starred Shekhar Suman as the main character opposite her.
Sudarshan Ratan directed this movie. In a previous interview, Shekhar Suman revealed that when he signed on to do the movie Manav Hatya early in his career, director Sudarshan explicitly stated that he would not be able to pay him any money for this project. After being somewhat offended upon hearing this, Shekhar Suman went straight to the director and inquired about the identity of the actress playing the lead role. According to him, Madhuri Dixit has been cast opposite him in this movie. At first, the director was apprehensive to reveal the actress’s identity, but he eventually persisted.
