The youngest child of Kumud Roy Kapur and Jewish mother Salome Aaron is Aditya Roy Kapur. In the early 1940s, his grandfather, Raghupat Roy Kapur, was a film producer. Aditya has two brothers: the renowned film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur and the actor Kunal Roy Kapur.
Career Beginnings
Aditya started out as a VJ on Channel V India, where his distinct presenting style and comedic timing were well-liked. With Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Asin Thottumkal in the supporting roles in “London Dreams,” he made his Bollywood debut. The movie performed badly at the box office even with its stellar cast. His next two parts, in “Action Replayy” with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshay Kumar and in “Guzaarish” with Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya, also failed to make a mark.

2013 saw an immense change in Aditya’s life. His role opposite Shraddha Kapoor in “Aashiqui 2” was a huge hit that made him a household name. His on-screen chemistry with Shraddha was widely appreciated. He also starred in “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” alongside Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in the same year, which became his second box office smash.
Recent Career and Challenges
Aditya has a run of box office setbacks with films such as “Fitoor,” “Daawat-e-Ishq,” “Ok Jaanu,” “Kalank,” “Malang,” “Sadak 2,” and “Gumraah,” despite the success of “Aashiqui 2” and “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” However, the audience praised his performance in the OTT series “The Night Manager”.
