Even after facing failures in her film career, Sonakshi persisted with acting. She made the decision to pursue the lucrative realm of over-the-top (OTT) platforms in 2023. She portrayed a cop in her first online series, Dahaad, and won appreciation from both the public and critics for the role.

Following the success of Dahaad, Sonakshi landed a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi. Here, she took on a challenging double role (negative characters) of Rehana and Fareedan. Her portrayal of the antagonist has been widely appreciated, solidifying her position as a rising star on OTT platforms.
OTT Success and Paycheck
Sonakshi Sinha’s journey from struggling to find a foothold in Bollywood to becoming a celebrated actress on OTT platforms is an inspiring one. Reports suggest that she charges a whopping Rs 2 crore per OTT show, showcasing her current standing in the digital entertainment industry.
