The theatrical scene, however, was mainly ruled by Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. But one superstar changed everything, and how! While Kamal Haasan amazed audiences with “Viswaroopam” and Rajinikanth stunned with “Enthiran” and “2.0,” their box office success in Hindi falls short compared to Prabhas. The Rebel Star gained nationwide fame with SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali” films, which set the box office on fire. Prabhas has three more films in the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi-dubbed films. His recent release, “Kalki 2898 AD,” has already earned over Rs 250 crore in Hindi and is climbing fast. “Salaar” and “Saaho” also crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. Except for “Radhe Shyam” and “Adipurush,” Prabhas has seen all his Hindi-dubbed films succeed at the box office in the last nine years.
Box Office Dominance in Hindi-Dubbed Films
Prabhas’ last seven films’ Hindi versions have netted over Rs 1300 crore in India. Kannada star Yash is his closest competitor, with his two KGF films grossing over Rs 480 crore in Hindi. Other actors are far behind. Rajinikanth’s films have netted just over Rs 350 crore in Hindi since 2000, while Kamal Haasan, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan have all managed between Rs 200-300 crore. Allu Arjun has only “Pushpa,” which earned Rs 108 crore in Hindi.

Despite being a South actor, he has become a true superstar in Hindi film due to his incredible journey and box office successes.
