Cannes 2023: Fashion world is agog with sartorial choices of celebrities at Cannes 2023 currently underway at Riviera in France. Indian actor Urvashi Rautela recently made heads turn when she wore a crocodile neckpiece. And now she has taken the fashion game to another level with a mesmerising high-glam look.
On Thursday she wore blue ink lip colour garnering lot of attention from fans. It reminded them of Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s previous appearances at Cannes. Pictures of Urvashi in blue lipstic have gone viral on the internet.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s 2016 look
In 2016, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was walked the Cannes red carpet in a purple lip shade, similar to what Urvashi Rautela wore on May 18, 2023. Wearing a flower-strewn off-shoulder dress, gothic eye makeup and a high ponytail, the Devdas actor was heavily trolled for her choice of attire at Cannes that year.
Urvashi carried the ink blue lip shade with a beautiful gown. She kept her hair tied in a high bun and used glitter eyeshadow. She accessorised the look with a choker neckpiece and matching earrings, a stylish blue bracelet and matching nail colour.
Her first look at Cannes 2023 attracted a lot of eyeballs. Her pink frill gown and an alligator neckpiece were much appreciated by the fashion police.

While some users on Reddit felt that Urvashi Rautela aced the look, some felt that she looked like a ‘Disney villainess’ and was trying to copy Aishwarya Rai. One user wrote, “When you’re chewing on a pen and it starts leaking.” Another wrote, “Is she cosplaying the OG Aishwarya at this year’s Cannes?” Another commented, “I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think she aced this look.” Another comment read, “She’s looking like a Disney villainess.” Another wrote, “She’s trying to emulate her look like Aish.” Sharing a pic of Aishwarya’s Cannes look, another user wrote, “She might have taken some inspiration from the one and only Aishwarya!!!.” Another said, “lol she tryna be doing aish again after the necklace now lip shade.”
