A new twist has come in the case of cow smuggling. CBI has sent notice to Bengali film star actor and Trinamool MP Dev (TMC MP Dev) in the animal trafficking case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has ordered Dev to appear on February 15. According to the information received, the actor and MP have been directed to be present at the CBI office located at Nizam Palace. According to sources, Dev’s name has been linked to cow smuggler Enamul Haque, who is one of the convicts in the cattle smuggling case. CBI has sent notice to Dev for questioning in this case. With the information of sending the notice to Dev, there has been an uproar in TMC. Even before this, there have been allegations of complicity of TMC leaders in the case of cattle smuggling.
According to sources, he will be interrogated at the CBI office at Nizam Palace on February 15 in a case related to cattle smuggling and all his statements will be recorded.
CBI will interrogate him as to what information he has in this case. According to a senior CBI official, Dev had given several gifts, including a few lakhs in cash and a watch, from Enamul Haque, the main accused in the cow smuggling case, in 2017-18. Enamul Haque had said this in a statement given to the CBI. According to that statement, Dev has been summoned for questioning.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials want to know more about how he came in contact with Enamul Haque, an accused in the animal smuggling case, how he found Enamul Haque, and when he got acquainted with him. That’s why they have been summoned. Actor MP Dev has been asked to be present at Nizam Palace till 11 am on Friday.
