South Indian powerhouse Chiranjeevi recently quashed rumours surrounding his alleged cancer diagnosis. Speculation had been rife, leading fans of the South Indian superstar to worry about his health following widespread reports that the actor had cancer. In a move that cleared up the gossip, Chiranjeevi stated that he had never been diagnosed with cancer, adding that his routine health screenings helped identify benign polyps, which, if left unchecked, might have posed a risk.

In a bid to dispel the misinformation, Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to personally set the record straight. Tweeting in his native Telugu, the actor stated, “Some time ago, I spoke on the importance of cancer awareness while launching a cancer center. I emphasized the importance of regular medical examinations in preventing cancer.”
The beloved Telugu star continued, revealing he had undertaken a colonoscopy which led to the discovery of non-cancerous polyps. He urged his fans and followers to be vigilant about their health, saying, “I only said that if I hadn’t taken the test earlier, it could have become cancer. This underscores the importance of everyone undergoing regular health screenings.”
Chiranjeevi Takes Media To Task Over Misreporting
In his statement, Chiranjeevi did not spare the media outlets that had jumped to conclusions about his health, criticizing them for fostering confusion with their misinterpretations. He stated, “Several journalists have misconstrued my words, causing undue concern and hurt among many people.”

Chiranjeevi’s tweet was met with relief and appreciation by his legion of fans.
