Coldplay has announced a second show concert in Ahmedabad just minutes after the tickets for their first show sold out within seconds. The tickets went live for purchase around 12 noon, but within minutes, they were sold out, leading to a frenzy among netizens. Coldplay has now confirmed their fifth concert in India, which will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat on January 26, 2025. Tickets for the event went live today at 1 PM on BookMyShow. However, after many fans couldn’t get tickets, they began expressing their frustration with BookMyShow.
Coldplay Announces Second Show in Ahmedabad
Coldplay made the announcement on their social media platform X, stating, “The band will perform their second show at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on January 26, 2025. Ticket sales will begin today at 1 PM IST. Tickets will be distributed by DHL.”
The tickets for this Coldplay concert are being sold through BookMyShow. However, many fans are expressing their anger towards the ticket booking website, claiming that the tickets were sold out within just a few minutes. This has led to a wave of criticism and trolling of BookMyShow from disappointed fans.
Fans Fume Over Quick Sell-Out of Coldplay Tickets on BookMyShow
Taking to the comment section, one user wrote, “Why’d you take me to seat selection and not let me select seats and check out?” Another said, “It’s official, both the shows were scammed.” A third added, “Was at 19K, and still couldn’t get the tickets. Even if everyone ahead of me got four tickets each, it still calculates to 80,000. Where are the rest of the tickets again? It is a scam!” A fourth user added, “I was at 3000, but when it was my turn, I made it until the payment page, and then the session ended. I was stuck at the payment page for more than 3 damn minutes out of the given 4 minutes.” A fifth added, “Tickets are reselling on Discord servers openly. I think I’ll need to buy from there.”
Coldplay India Tour Dates
Coldplay is currently on their Music of the Spheres World Tour. This will be their first concert in India in 9 years. Before this, Coldplay had announced concerts in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025. In addition, they will perform in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26, 2025. However, due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, many fans are unhappy with BookMyShow for the quick sell-out of Coldplay tickets.
