‘Congress Me Integrity Aur Sharam Reh Nahi…,’ Kangana Ranaut Blasts INC Women Leaders For Not Supporting Her on ’Emergency’

Kangana Ranaut Discusses Congress Leaders' Interest in Emergency

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut: Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold opinions and fearless roles, recently addressed the question of whether Congress leaders would be interested in watching her upcoming film Emergency. In an exclusive interview with News18, Kangana Ranaut spoke candidly about the challenges her film is facing, her experiences in politics, and the controversies that continue to follow her.

Kangana’s Expectations from Congress Regarding Emergency

When asked if she thinks Congress leaders will go to watch Emergency, Kangana responded with skepticism. The actress shared that she has little hope of support from Congress members, given their silence in previous controversies surrounding her films. She emphasized, “Thoda bhi you know, halki bhi inmein sharm hoti to meri film ko lekar itni auratein, inke neta hain ya itne saare neta, inhone ek baar bhi nahi kaha ki yeh ladki ko bhi haq hai.”

Criticism of Bollywood’s Double Standards

Kangana Ranaut expressed concern over how Bollywood glorifies item numbers and contributes to the sexualization of children. “We now see young children, just eight or nine years old, dancing to item numbers at school functions,” she lamented, questioning the accountability of those who create such content.

Kangana also voiced worries about the way that distinctions between evil and heroism are often blurred in today’s film. She said that while real historical individuals are generally forgotten, fictional characters like Ravana are frequently glamorised. “The hero of films has become a villain; the villain has become the hero,” she said.

Delay in Emergency’s Release and the Controversy Over Historical Depictions

Kangana Ranaut expressed her annoyance about the delay of Emergency’s release, which was once supposed to happen on September 8 but is still awaiting censor board certification. She made the point that the film has only attracted criticism from a tiny portion of the general public. Kangana emphasised the contentious historical figure Bhindranwale in Sikh history. She argued that some historical events have been purposefully kept secret from the general people, saying,  “It is our history that has been intentionally concealed. We are not told about this.”
