Delhi: A multimillionaire conman, Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s case has taken a fresh and surprising twist. As per the reports presented by ED, he met four small-time actresses and models inside the jail and gave them money and expensive gifts.
As per the sources, four aspiring actors and models named Nikita Tamboli, Chahat Khanna, Sophia Singh, and Arusha Patil met renowned conman Sukesh while he was serving his jail term in Delhi. Reportedly, all four of these actresses had travelled to Tihar jail to meet the conman through Pinky Irani. She used several aliases to bring these performers to him, and in return for their visits, the conman gave them cash and presents from Gucci, LV purses, and Versace watches.
Who is Pinky Irani?
Pinky identified herself as Angel, the CEO of a talent agency with offices in Mumbai, Dubai, and Los Angeles, and she is professionally a lawyer, lives in Los Angeles and travels frequently to work.
How did Nikita and other actresses met
Pinky Irani introduced her to accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar as “Shekhar”, claimed big boss star Nikita Tamboli. He was named by Pinky Irani as a buddy and South Indian producer.
“It was further revealed that on two occasions Nikita Tamboli met the accused, Sukesh Chandrasekhar, inside the Tihar Jail, Delhi at his office, maintained there. During the first meeting in April, 2018, the accused Pinky Irani received an amount to the tune of Rs 10 lakh in cash from Sukesh Chandrasekhar, out of which she gave cash to the tune of Rs. 1.5 lakh to Nikita Tamboli. On the second occasion, after two to three weeks of her first meeting, she went alone to meet Sukesh Chandrasekhar where she was given cash to the tune of Rs 2 lakh and one Gucci Bag by the accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar,” the ED has stated in its chargesheet.
On December 15, 2021, ED recorded her statement. She further disclosed to authorities that Pinky had contacted her via WhatsApp sometime in 2018 and identified herself as a coordinator and film producer. She told the actress that the producer wants to work with her for the films and she needs to meet him in Delhi. Astonishingly, they arrived in Delhi, drove to Tihar jail in a BMW, and were then driven within the jail by an Innova.
“No security check was done and no IDs were asked from them. She stated that she (Nikita Tamboli) went upstairs with Pinky a where Sukesh Chandrasekhar introduced himself as Shekhar, adding that he is a big guy and a big producer. First, he mentioned that it was his office, but later he told her (Nikita) that he is inside jail because of some big scandal, and he would get his bail release by August, 2018. She further stated that she had met him only twice in her life and that, too, in Tihar Jail. For the first time, she went with Angel. The second time, Shekhar alias Sukesh had booked her flights from Mumbai to Delhi just two to three weeks after her first visit and forwarded her the tickets on her WhatsApp,” the chargesheet further said.
During the second visit, a jail member took her to the first floor where Shekhar was waiting with another man. There were a lot of high-end bags from LV and Gucci apart from many other expensive items. Later, when the other person went away, Shekhar gave Nikita a Gucci handbag and two lakhs rupees in cash. However, the two didn’t get in touch since then. Police verified the record and found that she was indeed staying in JW Marriott, Aerocity on March 22nd and 23rd.
Actress Chahat Khanna, too, received the gift
Best-known for her role in Bae Acche Lagtey Hain television series, Chahat Khanna, revealed that Shekhar was presented as an owner of South Indian channel by Pinky Irani. “It was further revealed that once in May,2018, Chahat Khanna met accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar inside the Tihar Jail, Delhi at his office, maintained there, for which the accused Pinky Irani gave her Rs 2 lakh in cash and a blue colored Versace watch,” ED has alleged in its chargesheet.
Chahat disclosed to ED that Pinky had called her sometime in January or February 2018, and requested her as a mom blogger for a fundraising event for a close friend of hers, but it never happened. Chahat met Sukesh in May 2018, after requests from Pinky, and later travelled from Mumbai to Delhi together after getting the tickets booked.

“At the Delhi Airport, a BMW car came and they sat in the car which took them to Tihar Jail Gate no. 03 and they had to change cars from there. She told her (Chahat) that it is a bureaucrat cell, he is a big guy and, officially, he has been allowed to meet people. Then, an Innova Car came to pick us up and then they were escorted to the jail premises. Angel told her to look downwards so that their photos were not recorded in the CCTV footage. No checking was done and no IDs were taken, but she did sign a register. Then, two jail officials in uniform along with Sanjay Chandra escorted both of them to the first floor. There were lot of gadgets, a big TV, a play station, A/C, big Apple Bluetooth speakers, Laptops, a sofa, a recliner, a cooler, a fridge, phones, Rolex watches, many expensive Gucci, LV, Hermes bags,” the ED said in its chargesheet.
Sukesh informed Chahat that he had been imprisioned for being implicated in a election voting fraud and would be released soon. He also presented himself as a relative of politician Jayalalitha.
Similar ways and clearance of trace
In similiar fashion, Sophia Singh and Arusha Patil, too, were brought upon and were presented with gifts. As per Sophia, the room in which Sukesh stayed had lavish items such as television and refrigerator, a sofa, etc. The room was fragranced and had police security as well. In order to offer her movies, he gave her 50,000 Rs in cash once and deposited one lakh.
While Arusha Patil stated that she had received Rs. 5.20 Lakh, of which she gave one lakh to Pinky. Police is now investigating the matter further and is recording the statements of all the actresses related to the case.
