Konda Surekha: Telangana Minister and Congress leader Konda Surekha created a major stir in the Telugu film industry with her comment on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Rukh Prabhu’s divorce. While talking about BRS politician KT Rama Rao, the congress leader commented on the ex-couple’s divorce. Now, BRS women corporators have announced that they will file a complaint against Surekha.

BRS women Corporators’ Take on Konda Surekha and her Comment

As Konda Surekha linked politician KT Rama Rao with the divorce of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, fans and the Telugu film Industry highly condemned her actions. Today, on 3rd October BRS women corporators came forward and said that they will lodge a complaint against the congress leader. While talking to the news agency ANI, Corporator Hema Samala said, ‘Konda Surekha levelled false allegations yesterday. So, all of us Corporators are going to Banjara Hills Police Station to file a complaint. This is a dark day in the society in Telangana. It is very sad that false allegations are being made despite being a minister. No politician should do this…We demand Konda Surekha to withdraw her statement and apologise in the public domain. Otherwise, we will take legal action…’

After the comment Samantha took to her social media platform and commented on the matter. She clarified that her divorce was mutual consent and amicable, with no political conspiracy involved.

To her message, Surekha replied, ‘My intention was only to point out how a leader is belittling towards women but not to hurt your sentiments, Samantha.’

Telugu Film Industry’s Reaction on Naga-Samantha Case

After the comment made by the minister Konda Surekha, many Telugu film Industry stars came forward and criticised her. Samantha’s friend and famous actor Vijay Deverakonda said, ‘Just want to remind many politicians out there that we vote for them to look after us, to talk about infrastructure and investment , bring in jobs and prosperity, talk about health and improve education and facilities, help us grow…’

Devara star Junior NTR also commented on the matter. He said, ‘Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal lives into politics is a new low. Public figures, especially those in responsible positions like you, must maintain dignity and respect for privacy.’

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun also wrote a message for the matter. He said, ‘I strongly condemn the baseless derogatory comments made on the film personalities and film families…’

Many other actors and actresses came forward to showcase their support for Samantha and Naga Chaitanya.
