Deepika Padukone: Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Rohit Shetty are promoting the song Current Laga Re from Cirkus in Mumbai. Fans, however, were in for a great treat because Rohit also revealed information about the upcoming Singham movie, titled Singham Again. Much to the surprise of fans, he has introduced Deepika Padukone as lady Singham. Yes, Deepika’s upcoming film, Singham Again, stars her as a police officer. She will be the first lady cop of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe.

Rohit Shetty introduced Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham. At the launch, Rohit Shetty said, “Kahi na kahi to pata chal hi jaega so I will tell now only. The next film that we are making is Singham from our cop universe. And everytime I am asked ‘Lady Singham kab aegi’ So Singham Again has a Lady Singh (while pointing towards Deepika Padukone). She is my lady cop from the cop universe. We are working on it next year.”
About Singham Again
Rohit Shetty was the director and Reliance Entertainment was the producer of the 2011 film Singham. It serves as Shetty’s Cop Universe’s debut film. Ajay Devgn played Bajirao Singham, a police officer, in the movie’s lead role. After the movie’s success, Ajay and Rohit Shetty worked together on the follow-up, Singham Returns. He reprised his role in Shetty’s directorials Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi (2021) which together form Shetty’s Cop Universe.
The first two films, Singham and Singham Returns follow Bajirao Singham, an uptight police officerwho fights for justice. The third, Simmba (starring Ranveer Singh), focuses on Sangram Simmba Bhalerao, a corrupt Inspector from the same town as Bajirao. The franchise has another installment, Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi, another DCP.
