Mirzapur Season 3 is one of the most anticipated web series of 2024 and the first look of the web series has sparked the excitement of the audience. In the launch of the web series, Divyenndu Sharma’s absence made people think that he is not going to return to the show. Now, he spilled some beans about his return on the show and he confirmed that he is not going to reprise his role in the third season of popular web series Mirzapur.
Why Munna Bhaiya will not work in Mirzapur Season 3?
Divyenndu Sharma played the role of Munna Bhaiya in the two seasons of the franchise. In the second season of the web series, he was killed by Guddu Bhaiya (Ali Fazal). But there were speculations that he will return and now he cleared the air around his role in the web series. He said in the interview, “On Humans of Bombay, I shall declare that I am not a part of Mirzapur Season 3.”
Munna Bhaiya added, “When I was in character, it was affecting my personality a lot. We shouldn’t over-romanticize going too deep into a character, because it is not easy. At times, it used to get really dark for me. I felt suffocated. It’s so tricky that you don’t even realize that you are in that zone. It’s only when you come out of it do you realize how dark it was.”
About the show
The show centers on the vicious carpet exporter and Mirzapur mafia lord Akhandanand Tripathi, along with his power-hungry son Munna. During a wedding procession, they run upon staunch lawyer Ramakant Pandit and his sons, Guddu and Bablu. Like its predecessors, the third season of Mirzapur was filmed in several Uttar Pradesh sites, including Lucknow and Jaunpur.
