Ranveer Singh: Actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukoneare one of the most loved couple of Bollywood. Fans have given them a new name – DeepVeer and gush over every picture that is shared on social media. The two got married in 2018 after their courtship of six years. Fans emulate the couple goals that they have set and look up to them for any relationship mantra that they share.
In a recent interview, Ranveer shared that both Deepika and he came from outside and had to work their way up in the entertainment business. It was during this phase that they both connected with each other.
Family kept them grounded
Talking about the people around him who kept him grounded, Ranveer revealed that he has a close-knit circle of family and friends. He added that Deepika is also grounded and her family too likes to stay away from the limelight. “They’re like, as you said, a very simple middle-class to upper middle-class family, and they’re centred and grounded people,” he shared. He further added that just like him, Deepika Padukone has also come ‘from the outside’ and doesn’t have a filmi family. To find a place in Bollywood, they both went through similar struggles and experiences, and thus connected over it.
“She’s also had to work her way up in the entertainment business. She’s that classic story of packing a suitcase and coming to the big, bad city. We’ve both connected over the rejections, the humiliations, the struggle, the reliance on one’s supportive family, etc,” he said. Ranveer added that his support system of friends and family is a huge reason why he is so grounded.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018 at in Italy. Their first ceremony was a traditional South Indian wedding, followed by Hindu rituals.

Saying it with flowers
On their 4th wedding anniversary a few days back, and Ranveer surprised Deepika by showing up with flowers and chocolates at her workplace. “Never underestimate the power of flowers & chocolates. Diamonds not needed buahaha. Take notes and thank me later gentlemen….” he wrote, while sharing a picture.
On the work front, Ranveer will be seen next in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ which is set to release on December 23. This is his third collaboration with Shetty after ‘Simmba’ and a cameo in ‘Sooryavanshi’.
Deepika has a big release in January with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in Pathaan. Deepika also has a cameo in ‘Cirkus’.
