NCB has alleged that Aryan Khan was in contact with certain persons abroad who appear to be part of an international network for illegal purchase of drugs. The anti-drug agency said that the WhatsApp chat revealed that the accused was in contact with a foreign national for the possession of large quantities of hard drugs. The team of lawyers defending Aryan in the court refuted the allegations saying that he was not even on the cruise, which was raided by the NCB officials, he did not have money to buy drugs and he did not have drugs. Amit Desai said that when the NCB started the raid, he had not even checked in the cruise nor had he used drugs. The police did not get anything from them.
Significantly, Aryan Khan was arrested by NCB officials on October 2, hours after raiding a Mumbai cruise ship party. Seven others, including his friend Arbaaz Merchant, were arrested on October 3.
