Pathaan: Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has revived the Hindi film industry post pandemic. Grossing Rs 400 cr worldwide in just 4 days, the film is expected to surpass the lifetime collection of South biggies including KGF and RRR. As Shah Rukh Khan unites India with his charm, Neha Dhupia has recalled one of her old statements. ‘Either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan,’ said Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia 20 years ago.

20 years ago, Neha Dhupia had said ‘either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan’. Amid the blockbuster Pathaan collection, the statement has gone viral once again. A Twitter user, on Saturday, spoke about Pathaan’s box office performance. He tweeted, “Almost two decades back Neha Dhupia had given a statement ‘only sex or Shah Rukh Khan sells’ and that stays true even today!” Neha also took to Twitter to respond to the tweet and wrote, “20 years on, my statement rings true. This is not an ‘actor’s career’ but a ‘king’s reign’!”
The epicentre of the calamity has been identified at 37 km from Islamabad, while the depth has been reported at 10 Kilometres. But, as per the Pakistani media reports, the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 on the Ritcher scale jolted Islamabad.
It occurred around 12:54 pm and had a longitude of 69.65 East and a latitude of 38.65 North, the report said. It’s epicenter was somewhere in Tajikistan and depth was 150km, Pakistan Meteorological Department said.
‘I would rather be a sex prop’
Neha’s statement dates back to 2004 when she was promoting her film Julie. “Julie has love-making scenes and shots exposing my bare back… I’m not affected by the sex symbol tag. It doesn’t bother me if people say I have overshadowed Mallika Sherawat and Bipasha Basu by exposing in Julie. In today’s time, either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan. So I would rather be a sex prop in my next five films.”

Pathaan released on January 25 with much fanfare. The opening day collection of the film surpassed all the expectations with Rs 58 cr collection on day 1 itself. The film, also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has been directed by Siddharth Anand. Pathaan also has a cameo from Salman Khan.
