Amidst these arrest rumors, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took to Instagram to set the record straight. He assured his fans that he had not been arrested and was in Dubai for recording songs. He urged everyone not to believe baseless news and clarified that he was there solely for professional reasons.
Detained Over Defamation Complaint?
According to the first reports, Khan’s former manager, Salman Ahmed, filed a defamation complaint. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had travelled from Lahore to Dubai for an event. Several media reports suggested that he was detained at the immigration centre and then brought to the Burj Dubai police station to be questioned.
Ongoing Tensions with Former Manager
The existing tensions between Khan and Ahmed, who have been embroiled in legal battles, were thought to be heightened by this alleged arrest. According to reports, Khan fired Ahmed a few months prior, which intensified their dispute.
