Farah Khan talked about casting Deepika Padukone
While talking with the director-choreographer, Mukesh Chhabra spoke about launching Deepika Padukone. Responding to this, Farah said, “To launch a hero is on another level because who will give you the money? I launched her because Shah Rukh Khan was there. So, I could take that risk.” She further talked about this and admitted that a Hindi film actress should have a magnetic presence which is important to captivate the audience.
Farah highlighted that Deepika embodies this description, citing the actress’s remarkable appearance, acting talent, and capacity to light up the dance floor as examples of her whole package. Farah admitted that she cast the actress in the film because SRK was playing the lead role. It was an easy decision for her to cast a newcomer alongside him because SRK alone brings the power.
