FIFA World Cup 2022: More than half Bollywood was in Qatar in last night to watch the FIFA World Cup final and watch retiring footballer Lionel Messi for the last time. While those who saw it live couldn’t keep their enthusiasm in check, those who couldn’t rushed to social media to react as Argentina defeated France to win the trophy and Messi emerged as the man of the moment.
Ranveer Singh, who was in Qatar for the final, tweeted, “What have I just witnessed?!?!?” Historic. Iconic. It’s pure magic. FIFA World Cup.” He went on to say, “It had to be Him. Messi.”
Ajay Devgn captioned a photo of the Argentina squad with the trophy, “Vamos Argentina. What a World Cup triumph.”
Kartik Aaryan posted a photo of Messi with a crown sticker on his head. In the caption, he simply named him ‘Shehzada,’ which is the title of the actor’s forthcoming film.
Abhishek Bachchan penned, “This World Cup Final was fantastic and deserving. Argentina, congratulations! Argentina vs. France, #FIFAWorldCup.”

Anil Kapoor couldn’t stop himself from tweeting, “Wow, what a game and what a player! There is no better way to end this #WorldCup, especially for the greatest of all times, Messi!!!”
