The FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 in Odisha kicked off on Wednesday with a spectacular opening ceremony at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. The opening musical and dance acts for the ceremony were delivered by local Indian and Odia entertainers, setting the tone for the evening. Then, as the hockey World Cup trophy was displayed on stage in front of officials, fireworks enthralled the stadium’s 40,000 fans. Following that, the K-Pop group BLACKSWAN, which includes Odisha’s Shreya Lenka, entertained the audience with their hit songs.

The large crowds waited for showstopper Ranveer Singh, and he did not disappoint. His performance was unquestionably the most popular among supporters within the Barabati Stadium. He was not, however, the sole performer who received all of the prizes. Disha Patni also energized the audience. She looked stunning in her black gown as she performed on popular Bollywood songs.
Music Maestro Pritam and his colleagues elevated the performance to a whole new level. His crew captivated the audience for about an hour. India’s first K-pop idol Sriya Lenka shows electrifying moves with her girl group. Blackswan, a K-Pop band, also had an impressive performance. Odisha greets all hockey fans as it hosts the Hockey World Cup for the second time in a row. Cuttack will hold a dazzling opening ceremony with prominent celebrities and performers.

Final will be held on January 29
Odisha is enveloping itself in a carnival-like atmosphere as preparations for the 2023 Hockey World Cup resonate across the state. The competition will be held in two locations in Odisha: Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. The event will feature as many as 16 teams. The group stages will begin on January 13th, with the final on January 29th, Sunday.
