Yes, you read it right. Aditi Rao Hydari was just 21 years old when she took the step to start her marital life. She didn’t disclose her wedding to the public eye for a very long time. In 2009, the rumours of Aditi’s marriage started circulating and ultimately it was reported that she was married to Satyadeep Mishra, a lawyer and actor. The actress was in a relationship with Satyadeep since high school when she was 17. In 2007, they got married and Aditi never spoke a word about her marriage. In 2013, their separation was revealed.
Controversial Statement on Plastic Surgery
Aditi Rao Hydari is now known as really sophisticated and mature personality but there was a time when she said something controversial and it affected her. According to iwmbuzz, during the time of Murder 3, Aditi talked about Plastic Surgery. She said, ‘But I truly believe there is far more to just sexuality and that you need to have steal in your soul and not silicone on your chest to be somebody of substance.’ She further added, ‘But yeah, but I truly believe that to stand on your own and to choose a path and to believe in that, I think you need to have far more than just one aspect.’
After this Aditi seemed a little contradictory to her statement. She said, ‘I don’t think anybody can be judgemental about it because this is a profession that requires people to look beautiful all the time, but it’s each to their own.’
Slammed a Politician
When Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone were fighting the battle to release Padmaavat on the big screen, Aditi Rao Hydari slammed a BJP leader. Sanjay Pal, a BJP leader from Haryana offered a prize money of 10 crore to behead Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika. Aditi, who played the role of Khilji’s wife Mehrunisa came forward and supported her team. ‘Basically this is a ‘supari.’ It is free for all, is there no difference between a gangster and a political leader? The government is quiet… why? this is a deep embarrassment for India.’ she posted on her Twitter (now X) handle.
South Indian Directors are Better?
Aditi Rao Hydari once talked about South Indian Directors. In an interview, when an interviewer asked about her feelings regarding Hindi filmmakers not being able to use her potential as South directors do. Aditi said, ‘I’ve heard this too much, a lot!’ Aditi added it doesn’t bother her much because she always wanted to be ‘Mani Ratnam Heroine.’
When Sanjay Leela Bhansali didn’t let her Eat
Aditi once mentioned that during the shoot of Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali didn’t let her eat anything. She said, ‘It was during the shoot of my first Mujra, Hatto Jao. I had also just recovered from COVID at that time. By the end of the first day, my costume was heavy and my brain was not taking it anymore. I could see what he was telling me, I could understand but the firing was not happening. But, trust me what he was saying made complete sense. I was so disappointed in myself because I knew he didn’t get what he wanted.’ She said this while talking to Bollywood Hungama.
