On May 26, Israeli Air Forces attacked Gaza and the airstrike sparked a lot of criticism of the country due to the attack. The air strike killed approximately 45 people who were residing in a camp in the Gazan city of Rafah. This came after the United Nations’ order for Israel to immediately halt its military offensive. After the attack on Rafah, the social media came together to condemn Israel for this attack and they shared a picture on their social media accounts. Along with normal people, many celebrities posted these pictures and they were criticized online.
Celebrities Post in Support of Rafah
Along with the global superstars and celebrities of different domains, Indian celebrities also took to their social media accounts to share their image in support of Rafah. Indian celebrities Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Tripti Dimri, Vijay Varma, Kriti Kharbanda, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza and several others posted on their Instagram Stories. The picture featured the text ‘All Eyes on Rafah’ and the picture featured the camps of the refugees.
Celebrities Who Deleted the Post
Many celebrities deleted their Instagram Stories or X posts after being criticized for not posting about other massacres happening around the world. Social media users trolled the celebrities for not raising their voices against the massacre happening on the Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Celebrities including Madhuri Dixit and Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh deleted the image after the heavy criticism on the social media platforms.
