Fukrey 3: Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have revealed the return of the original Fukrey cast, but Ali Fazal appears to be out of the hit comedy franchise’s third instalment. Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Manoj Singh, Pulkit Samrat, and Pankaj Tripathi are all featured in the new posters, but Ali Fazal is not. Farhan Akhtar shared the poster on his Instagram account with the caption, “Iss baar hoga chamatkaar, straight from Jamnapaar! #Fukrey3 arriving in cinemas on 7th September, 2023.”
Fukrey 3 will release on September 7
The film is set to be released on September 7 during the Janmashtami weekend. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba is in charge of the direction. The first poster depicts Richa as former gangster Bholi Punjaban, sitting on a sugarcane throne. Varun Sharma (Choocha) is seen lying at her feet. Manjot Singh, who plays Lali, is struggling behind the throne, while Pankaj Tripathi and Pulkit Samrat sit on either side of Richa. In the film franchise, Pankaj Tripathi plays Panditji and Pulkit Samrat plays Hunny.
Netizens ask ‘Zafar Bhai kaha hai?’
The second poster depicts the entire male cast forming a human pyramid to climb a slanting brick wall. ‘Ek naya chumatkar from Jamnapaar,’ read the film’s tagline. Since the poster dropped on social media, Netizens started reacting to the poster. However, fans are excited to get the release date of Fukrey 3 but they are missing ‘Zafar Bhai’ Ali Fazal as he is not seen in the both posters. One user wrote, “Gau aadmi kidhar hai.” Another user wrote, “Zafar Bhai kaha hai? Vo hote toh aur maja aata.”
Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba confirmed shooting of the film in June last year when he shared a picture from the sets of the film.
