Gadar 2: The much-anticipated sequel to the 2001 blockbuster hit ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,’ titled ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues,’ is all set to hit the big screens on August 11, 2023. Excitement among fans has reached a new high as Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol reprise their iconic roles as Sakina and Tara Singh in the film. No Objection Certificate granted by Indian army
To secure the necessary clearance for any army-based film in India, it is mandatory to obtain a No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee. The makers of Gadar 2 recently organized a special screening of the film for army officials, and the response they received was overwhelmingly positive. Not only did the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee grant the NOC for Gadar 2, but they also praised the film with words of appreciation.
A nostalgic saga: Gadar: Ek Prem Katha
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, released in 2001, stands as a memorable film set against the backdrop of the Partition of India in 1947. Loosely based on the life of Boota Singh, an ex-soldier in the British army, the movie depicts his tragic love story with Zainab, a Muslim girl he rescues during the communal riots of the partition era. Starring Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, Amrish Puri, and Lillete Dubey, the film was directed by Anil Sharma and left a lasting impression on audiences.
