‘Game of Thrones’ Actor Darren Kent Leaves Fans in Mourning, dies at 36

Darren Kent: A sad piece of Hollywood news is the passing of Darren Kent. His roles in shows like “Game of Thrones,” “Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves,” “EastEnders,” and others have made him a household name. At the age of 36, the actor passed away on Friday, August 11. His talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, announced the news of his passing on Tuesday, August 15, in a tweet.

“It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully on Friday. His parents and best friend [were] by his side. Our thoughts and love are with his family in this difficult time. RIP my friend (sic),” wrote the agency. Essex, a county in southeast England between London and the North Sea, is where Darren Kent was born and reared. His breakout performance came in the 2008 horror film Mirrors. Later, he was a part of the Emmy-winning “Game of Thrones.” He most recently appeared in the 2023 movie “Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves” as a reanimated corpse.

Snow White and the Huntsman, Marshal’s Law, Bloody Cuts, The Frankenstein Chronicles, Blood Drive, Les Misérables, Green Fingers, EastEnders, Happy Hours, Love Without Walls and Birds Sorrow are just a few of his other films. He was a respected writer and director, as well. According to Variety, he directed the 2021 short film “You Know Me,” for which he received a January Award.
