Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 teaser dropped; fans get emotional

Guardians of the Galaxy: The wait is finally over. The Guardians of the Galaxy are back for one last adventure. As the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 dropped Thursday, it burnt the internet and fans can’t have enough of it. It explores Bradley Cooper’s character, Rocket Raccoon’s origins and the return of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s Gamora. The teaser shows high drama among the interstellar adventurers, – Starlord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) and Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper).

GOTG fans are overwhelmed. “We all fly away together, into the forever and beautiful sky”, wrote a fan on twitter. It started with the funniest MCU movie and ending with the most meotional on,” wrote another.

Adam Warlock is here

The trailer gives a glimpse of Adam Warlock, played by MCU newcomer Will Poulter, who was previously seen in ‘The Maze Runner’, ‘Midsommar’ and ‘Dopesick’. In the comics, Warlock is an all-powerful artificial being created to destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy.

In the new film, the Guardians land on a new planet which is full of animal-themed aliens who pelt them with rocks.

Film to have emotional ending

Fans are expecting that ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ will have an emotional ending as Star-Lord is still missing his girlfriend Gamora. The trailer closes with Groot, who’s known for only saying “I am Groot,” finally saying something more like “We are Groot” as he sprouts extra arms and blasts lasers back-to-back with Star-Lord.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Karen Gillan will all return for the final instalment of the franchise.

The film is all set for a 2023 summer theatrical release on May 5.

The teaser has been released shortly after the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, that gave us a glimpse of actor Kevin Bacon, a new entrant to the MCU. The holiday special also revealed that Mantis is actually Quill’s sister, and Kurt Russell’s Ego is the father.
