Abhishek Bachchan was born on 5 February 1976.
Abhishek did his schooling from ‘Jamnabai Nursery School’, ‘Bombay Scottish School’ and ‘Modern School’ in Delhi. After finishing school, he joined ‘Anglo College’. He went to America to study business but left his studies to become an actor.
Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is the son of century legend Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek started his film journey with the film ‘Refugee’. Many of Abhishek’s early films were unsuccessful, with the films ‘Sarkar Raj’, ‘Yuva’, ‘Bunty’ and ‘Babli’ ‘Guru’ showing his acting abilities. He also sang in the films Dhoom and Bluff Master. He married the famous Bollywood actress and Aishwarya Rai. He was given the Filmfare Supporting Actor Award for the film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Sarkar Raj.
In the year 2004, Abhishek Bachchan’s first hit film was Dhoom, before which his 17 films were a continuous flop. He not only acted in the film ‘Paa’ but also produced it in the year 2009, which also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi Cinema.
His film in 2006 was Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006), which was the highest grossing film of the year. He worked with many other artists in Mani Ratnam’s stage show Netru, Indru, Nala. His second film Umrao Jaan failed to do well at the box office and rumors of his and Aishwarya Rai’s relationship arose. His third film was Dhoom 2, which was a follow-up to the successful film Dhoom. The film did well at the box office, but the success was credited to villain Hrithik Roshan like the previous film.
His film in 2007 was Guru. His performance was well appreciated and proved to be his first solo hit. In May 2007, he made a cameo appearance in the multi-starrer Shootout at Lokhandwala. The film was a huge success. His next film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom was released in June 2007. The film was unsuccessful in India, but overseas especially U.K. Was successful in Although the film received mixed reviews, Bachchan earned much acclaim from his performance in the film.
From 2010, Abhishek’s films started beating at the box office. He came back in the year 2018 with ‘Manmarziyaan’. He then turned to the digital platform. He has done appreciable acting in his web series ‘Breathe: Into the Shadows’ and received so much of love by audience.
In an interview, Abhishek Bachchan said, ‘When I see my work, then I see many shortcomings in it and I want to rectify them. I am not one of those who says that I have done very well. I see shortcomings in everyone. I think there is always room for improvement. ‘Abhishek Bachchan also said,’ I watch my film constantly and I also make many notes so that I can improve further. I do this many times and as an actor I keep trying something new.’
