Recieved Best Female Debut in 2004
She made her glamour debut in the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan. After this, she came to Bollywood through the spy thriller film ‘The Hero’. This film was released in 2003. Priyanka then appeared in the film Andaaz, for which she also received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in 2004.
Received Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role
After working in a romantic comedy like ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ in 2004, Priyanka appeared in the film ‘Aitraaz’. In this film, Priyanka appeared in a negative role and this role took her career to the heights. Priyanka got the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. 2005 was the busiest year of her career. During this, six of her films were released, including films like Waqt and Bluffmaster. In 2006, Priyanka was a part of two highest-grossing films like ‘Krrish’ and ‘Don’.
After failure, ‘Fashion’ turned her life
Priyanka also tasted failure in 2007 and 2008, her films ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’, ‘Love Story 2050’ and ‘Drona’ were flops. At the same time, the 2008 film ‘Fashion’ proved to be a turning point for Priyanka and after the release of this film, she joined the list of top actresses in Bollywood. 2015 in Hollywood: ‘Quantico’
In 2015, Priyanka once again came into the limelight when she became a part of the American series Quantico. Priyanka succeeded in making her Hollywood debut by playing the role of Alex Parish in this series. Since then, she has appeared in Hollywood films like Baywatch (2017), A Kid Like Jake (2018) and Isn’t It Romantic (2019), The Matrix Resurrection, although Priyanka’s fascination with Bollywood did not end even after setting foot in Hollywood. She also received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Kashibai in Bajirao Mastani.
Her workfront
Talking about her workfront, the last Bollywood film she did was ‘The Sky is Pink’ in 2019. Talking about the current time, Priyanka currently has a Bollywood film named ‘Jee Le Zara’ in which Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif will also be seen in addition to her. Talking about international projects, Priyanka has recently completed shooting for films like ‘Text for You’ and ‘Citadel’.
