Henry Cavill, a well-known actor in Hollywood, has landed his next significant acting role in the Warhammer 40,000: The Series adaption. The announcement comes only one day after Cavill declared that he will not reprise his role as Superman in future DC pictures. The actor just left the Netflix drama The Witcher. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon Studios is discussing a contract with the game’s producer, Games Workshop. Cavill has been cast in the lead role and will executive produce the series version of the popular science-fiction tale. Battles in Warhammer 40,000 are fought utilising tiny miniatures of troops and fighting vehicles.

It takes place in the far future, when a stagnated human civilization is challenged by hostile aliens and magical monsters. The game’s models are a combination of humans, aliens, and supernatural monsters with futuristic weaponry and magical abilities.
