Hina Khan, a popular tv actor, recently disclosed to her followers that she is fighting cancer. She has been updating her fans on her battle with the illness by candidly sharing her story. Hina shared a touching video of herself cutting her hair before beginning chemotherapy. A really emotional statement from the actor accompanied the video.
A Heartfelt Message to Her Fans
Hina’s message began with a poignant mention of her mother’s emotional reaction in the background, expressing her love and blessings in Kashmiri. “Not all of us have the same tools at our disposal to manage heartbreaking emotions,” Hina acknowledged, speaking directly to those experiencing similar struggles, especially women.
“To all the beautiful people out there, especially women who are fighting the same battle, I know it’s hard, I know for most of us, our hair is the crown we never take off. But what if you’re facing a battle so tough that you have to lose your hair—your pride, your crown? If you want to win you’ve got to take some tough decisions,” she wrote.
Embracing Tough Choices
Determined to fight, Hina shared, “I choose to win. I have decided to give myself every chance possible to win this battle. I choose to let go of my beautiful hair before it starts falling off. I didn’t want to endure this mental breakdown for weeks. So, I choose to let go of my crown because I’ve realized my real crown is my COURAGE, my STRENGTH, and the love I have for myself.”
Hina also mentioned her plan to use her cut hair to make a wig, finding a way to keep a part of herself close during this challenging phase. She emphasized that while hair and eyebrows will grow back and scars will fade, the spirit must remain intact.
Sharing Her Journey for Others
“I am recording my story, my journey, to ensure that my efforts to embrace myself reach everyone out there. If my story can make even one day of this heartwarming yet excruciating experience better for someone, it’s worth it,” Hina expressed. She thanked her support system, including her loved ones and professionals who have been by her side.
Finally, she extended her gratitude to her hairstylist, who made the haircut as comfortable as possible despite his busy schedule. “May God ease our pain and give us strength to be victorious. Please pray for me,” Hina concluded.
