Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are gearing up for their next release which is going to be Siddharth Anand-directed Fighter. The film will be released in the theatres on 25 January but ahead of the release, bad news came for the makers as the film faced a ban in gulf countries. It’s sad for the fans of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone residing in the Gulf countries because they won’t be able to witness the film in the theatres. A film expert Girish Joshi revealed the news that Fighter faced a ban in the Gulf countries but the film will be released in UAE.
Fighter gets banned in Gulf countries
Fans of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the Gulf who were impatiently awaiting the release of their movie Fighter have bad news. Producer and industry expert Girish Johar tweeted on his social media platform about this information. He wrote, “In a setback, #Fighter officially banned across Middle East regions for theatrical release. Only UAE will release the film with PG15 classification!”
The news regarding the release of Fighter in Gulf countries—aside from the UAE—was also verified by a source close to the Fighter team. Regarding the same, the makers have not yet released an official statement. Although the Gulf countries’ censor board has not approved Fighter, the aerial action thriller will open in Indian theatres on January 25.

Siddharth Anand is the movie’s director, which also stars Akshay Oberoi, Karan Singh Grover, and Anil Kapoor. Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures work together to produce it. It is presented as an homage to the bravery, selflessness, and nationalism of the Indian military forces.
