Hrithik Roshan is undeniably one of Bollywood’s fittest performers. When it comes to physique, the actor can compete with the kids, and he recently flaunted his chiseled 8-pack abs, sending social media into a frenzy. Hrithik Roshan recently opened up about his transformation, balancing his work, lifestyle, food, and more in an interview with his fitness trainer Kris Gethin.
He also revealed that he wasn’t feeling well during filming WAR and was on the verge of depression. Not only Hrithik, but several other Bollywood actors, including Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and others, have spoken out about their mental health difficulties.
Hrithik Roshan talked about his health
Hrithik Roshan revealed that he wasn’t feeling well during filming WAR and originally blamed it on his age. “I assumed it was my age; I believed it was my body. I thought I was going to die. “Like some of the evenings when I returned home, I wasn’t sure whether I’d wake up in the morning,” Hrithik added. Hrithik responded, “I wasn’t ready for the film,” when asked why he felt that way. “I wasn’t up against a particularly difficult task.”
He went on to say that he was striving for perfection and was afraid that if he didn’t, ‘people would know I’m not that good’. “I was killing something inside myself while striving for perfection, and I believe it took its toll, both psychologically and physically, since after the film, I developed adrenal fatigue and couldn’t exercise for 3-4 months and not feeling well. I was on the verge of losing my mind. So I was completely lost, and that’s when I realized I wanted to make a change in my life “He elaborated.
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor opened up about her anxiety struggles. She claimed that she had no idea what anxiety was for a long time, and that she just became aware of it after seeing Aashiqui. “There’s this pain going on where there’s no physiological diagnosis. We had so many tests done, but the doctor’s report found nothing wrong with me. It’s strange since I kept wondering why I was experiencing that agony. “I kept asking myself why it was happening,” she explained. She went on to say that accepting it as a part of herself and approaching it with love made a significant impact in her life.
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone spoke on Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast, where she discussed her battle with depression. She said that everything was going well for her at the time, both personally and professionally, and that the symptoms of her sadness appeared out of nowhere. “I awoke and fell. My blood pressure fell. Then, all of a sudden, my life seemed pointless. I didn’t want to be alive any longer. I was reluctant to get out of bed. And I struggled with this for months and months. I’d just break down at the drop of a hat,” she admitted.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt said to Filmfare in 2019 that she had been experiencing spells of anxiousness that would come and go. She stated that, while it is not an anxiety attack, she is feeling really down. “Fortunately, I’m aware of it because to my sister Shaheen. She has battled depression. I’ve already read her book. “I just let myself feel it, no matter how horrible it is,” she explained. She also stated that she discussed it with her pals. “Everyone advised me that I needed to accept that it will pass. What matters is that you acknowledge it rather than pretending that you are alright. If you’re not feeling well, just say you’re not feeling well,” Alia said.
Karan Johar
Karan Johar talked up about a period in his life when he was despondent in 2016. He said to NDTV that he initially believed he was having a heart arrest during that time. I felt it in the middle of a meeting two and a half years ago, after which I excused myself from the meeting and raced to the doctor. He then stated that I was experiencing an anxiety attack. Following that, I went to see a psychologist. Then I realized I had some personal concerns to cope with, which had accumulated to the point of anxiety.”
Varun Dhawan
Varun Dhawan confesses to being depressed during the filming of Badlapur. He remarked during an interview with BollySpice, “I was depressed. I wasn’t clinically depressed, but I was getting close. I was depressed to some extent. I don’t want to use the phrase casually because depression is a serious illness. It had a major impact on my mental health. I was given it as a prescription and went to see a doctor about it.”
