Indian 2 Movie Review: Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 hit film ‘Hindustani’, starring Universal star Kamal Hassan. Both fans and the film industry are talking about the movie. The film, which was helmed by the esteemed S. Shankar, has finally hit theatres 27 years after being in development. Kamal Haasan has embodied Senapathi’s role in the movie once more. Fans were quite enthusiastic about this movie, so let’s see how Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, turns out.
Story
In order to combat corruption and injustice, Kamal Haasan takes the law into his own hands as Senapathi, a tenacious freedom fighter. Senapathi is an elderly man with remarkable martial arts skills and a strong moral compass who was first presented in the first “Indian” film (1996) and is dedicated to purging society of its corrupt aspects. You will need to go to the cinemas to see the entire movie.
Performance
Indian 2 (Hindustani 2), starring Kamal Haasan, is now available to watch in theatres. Corruption, social fairness, and other pertinent social challenges are highlighted in this movie. As always, Kamal Haasan’s outstanding performance has left a lasting impression on the audience’s hearts. He played the role of Senapthy and his acting impressed the audience but the low-level action sequences are far below average than the 1996 film.
The makers tried to do something different by trying some looks on Kamal but they completely failed and lost the real touch of the movie. Siddharth played a significant role in the movie but the way he performed and the way his role is written in the movie look completely patchy. The one scene that highlights his action prowess is the scene where he confronts Kamal after his mother’s funeral. The role of Rakul Preet Singh is also easily forgettable and leaves no mark on the audience.
Direction
Indian 2 is directed by Shankar and the first part was also directed by Shankar which was released in 1996. That film impressed the audience and left a mark on the audience. This part of the film fails to impress the audience and the director’s attempt to try new things failed completely. The attempt to portray Kamal in several characters turned out to be completely funny. Regretfully, the reverse occurs. We can tell where the movie might be going from Kamal’s introduction and the whole battle scene. The troll army finds food in the cosmetics and long hair worn in this pivotal scene. It is difficult to accept that Shankar, a perfectionist, would have approved of such a look.
Conclusion
Shankar returned with Kamal Haasan to impress the audience with the sequel of Hindustani. He tried to make the action-thriller and leave the audience glued to their seats. But his attempt to portray Kamal as larger than life turned out to be a complete disaster. He failed miserably. However, Kamal Haasan performed amazingly and his acting impressed the audience. Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth didn’t perform as per expectations and their roles were badly written.
