The Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is now promoting her next movie “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,” recently shared her style heroes with fans on Instagram. Upon being questioned if she had taken inspiration from Zendaya, Janhvi candidly acknowledged that she had been “heavily inspired” by the American actress.
Inspired by Zendaya’s Method Dressing Approach
Janhvi continued by expressing how thrilled she was with Zendaya’s “Challengers” and “Dune” commercial looks in particular. This created a buzz about “method dressing,” the practice of performers dressed like their roles to boost publicity. “I feel like as actors we should all encourage method dressing,” Janhvi stated. “When I saw her [Zendaya] doing it so well, I realised that it sets a good amount of attention on how we look.”
Janhvi praised Zendaya’s impact, referring to her as “Mother Zendaya” and said, “She taught us how to do it really well.” I’m only attempting to walk in her shoes, and it’s absolutely inspirational.”
Uorfi Javed’s Creativity Gets a Shoutout
It’s interesting that Janhvi continued after Zendaya. She also noted how Indian social media star Uorfi Javed, who is renowned for her daring and unique style, influenced her with her wardrobe choices. “Even Uorfi (Javed) is creative with her fashion,” Janhvi stated.
Mr. and Mrs. Mahi Trailer Released
The much awaited teaser for Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s film “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi” was also unveiled on May 12, 2024. The movie, which is supported by Dharma Productions and is directed by Sharan Sharma and is scheduled for release in theatres on May 31, 2024.
